Sofa.com are on the hunt to find the next budding animator, having launched the competition ‘Filmed with Happiness” in UK and USA. The company has enlisted Merlin Crossingham, Creative Director of Wallace & Gromit at Aardman Animations as one of the judging panel and they’re offering the winner a prize of £3,000 plus the chance to be commission to create a paid digital ad for them later in the year.
The winning film needs to be 15 -30 seconds in length and appeal to children as it will be played in their kids corner of their showrooms. As a company known for doing things differently, they’re hoping that this will provide the perfect opportunity for hobbyists, students and grads to show off their talent and get their work noticed by some of the most influential people in the industry.
